A dark red flowering Hydrangea macrophylla that blooms on new wood. Mop head flowers are red, but in acidic soils are purplish. The blooms age to a lavender and the foliage has an incredible burgundy coloration. The reddest of the red-flowering hydrangeas that we grow. Introduced by Mckay’s Nursery in Waterloo, WI.
