Large panicles of double white flowers in early summer adorn this medium size oakleaf hydrangea. The flower panicle consists of showy sterile flowers with multiple bracts or sepals. It blooms for a month or two fading from white to pink. The foliage changes from a dark green to maroon and purple shades in the fall. Mature stems have exfoliating bark revealing a chocolate brown inner bark. A very showy older variety that has shown it’s worth in the landscape.
