We chose to grow this selection of Crimson Pygmy over twenty-five years ago; originally selected at Moretti Nursery in Ohio decades before that. It is a very uniform cultivar that has a dense, compact habit. New growth is bright crimson-red fading to a dark burgundy-maroon. It is brighter red than Concorde.

Spice Island™ is a compact form of V. carlesii which develops much more uniformly during the production process. This cultivar branches better than other compact cultivars in the trade, making for considerably fewer one-sided or poorly structured plants. Pale pink buds open to white, sweet smelling flowers in Spring.

Sugar n’ Spice is a heavy flowering cultivar with the same sweet-spiced, floral fragrance for which V. carlesii is known.
