We chose to grow this selection of Crimson Pygmy over twenty-five years ago; originally selected at Moretti Nursery in Ohio decades before that. It is a very uniform cultivar that has a dense, compact habit. New growth is bright crimson-red fading to a dark burgundy-maroon. It is brighter red than Concorde.
